Our mission is to transform the early childhood development and education landscape in Senegal through parental and community engagement initiatives, teacher training, collaboration, and innovative culturally relevant research and interventions. Our main goal is to ensure that every child is raised in a nurturing home environment and has access to quality education that prepares them for a bright future.

We develop a robust teacher training program designed to equip early childhood educators with the skills and knowledge necessary to deliver high-quality, culturally sensitive education.
SCCD will be at the forefront of research in early childhood education, focusing on bilingualism, culturally relevant teaching methods, and parental beliefs about early learning.

SCCD was founded by Dr. Yatma Diop, a Senegalese professional with experience in University Early Childhood Development (ECD) teaching and research. He has a strong track record of international consultancy in education and parental engagement, working in various African countries, including Niger, Burundi, Cameroon, and Senegal. The center was established in response to the growing need for high-quality early childhood education in Senegal and the urgent need for parental support during the early years of child development.
SCCD not only collaborates with teachers but also empowers families and conducts groundbreaking research and interventions to shape the future of ECD and education in Senegal.
